The Addingham Social Club
149 Main Street. LS29 0LZ Addingham Tel.01943 830507

We offer a quiet place to socialise including the provision of cheap drinks (compared to the pubs) plus we have the only full size snooker table in teh village and facilities to play darts, dominoes and bar billiards. We currently support 3 snooker teams in local leagues. We have over 200 members and need more. All we ask is that local residents come in and try us.

Now with to my knowledge the only Sky Sports, Horse Racing and ESPN channels with multiple boxes and widescreens we can offer a wide range of television choice for our members.   Membership is currently £8 for the first year followed by £5 per year there after, however if any one wants to experience the social club before becoming a member then can do so up to 3 times per year before requiring to be a member.     We aim to be £1 per pint difference between us and the others pubs. Prices have increased in line with duty but have overall remained flat serving tetleys for £2.10, Wainright for £2.30 and Carlsberg for £2.30.   Going forward the Social club is re-investing heavily externally and internally to update its style and aiming to work closely in the future with other clubs and pubs and other businesses who wish to co-operate in a buying capacity in the long term.   As you might notice we have redesigned the signage with a more simple and clean style and looking to update carpets and facilties in early to mid 2012.   We have also been reviewed by Tapsters which is a recognised beer group which has awarded us with a gold award for the standards of our beer only last month.   We open 3pm-11pm Monday - Friday and 11am-11pm Saturday and Sunday.   We currently sponsor 2 football clubs in the village and support various charities.

Openning hours are weekdays : 1500-2300, weekends 1100-2300

The social clubs number is 01943 830507 Entertainment can be found out by phoning or seeing our board inside the club.

Pubs Re-opened

It was a sad day when two of our
village pubs closed almost at the
same time - The Fleece and
The Craven Heifer.
Now, The Craven Heifer has
re-opened under new management,
offering delicious Chinese cuisine,
and The Fleece has also re-opened.
Great news!
And what is more - the former
Good Food Shop, which has been
closed since the building collapsed,
is also re-opening soon as Frewin's Cafe
(during the day) and Bistro (evening.

Details will be added to our Pubs page
http://www.addingham.info/eatinganddrinking.html when available.

Golden success for Addingham

The village has been awarded a fabulous GOLD award by the judges of the Yorkshire in Bloom competition, and came top of the class. Congratulations and thanks to all who helped, particularly the volunteer Addingham Garden Friends, BMDC Parks & Landscape Dept., Addingham Primary School, Addingham Civic Society, Addingham Allotments and Gardens Soc. and Addingham Parish Council. As a result of this, the village will be in the National Britain in Bloom finals!
