Bolton Road area
Bolton Road goes north from Main Street (between The Crown and Mount Hermon Chapel) towards Bolton Bridge and Bolton Abbey. The first narrow section passes the Nursery Rhymes nursery (formerl ey the Co-Op store) and the former Malt Kiln on the right, behind the car park (formerly the site of cottages). Then there is Kilner's Croft and the Catholic Church on the right and The Rookery (former mill workers' cottages) on the left. Beyond Ayneholme Bridge (over Town Beck) is Backbeck Lane on the left and Ayneholme Drive on the right, before the Primary School, Harcourt Drive and Springfield Mount on the left and The Acres on the right. Bark Lane joins from the right as does the final turning before the Parish Boundary - High Mill Lane which leads down to the oldest of the original five village mills - High Mill on the River Wharfe.
