The first narrow section passes the Nursery Rhymes nursery (formerl ey the Co-Op store) and the former Malt Kiln on the right, behind the car park (formerly the site of cottages). Then there is Kilner's Croft and the Catholic Church on the right and The Rookery (former mill workers' cottages) on the left. Beyond Ayneholme Bridge (over Town Beck) is Backbeck Lane on the left and Ayneholme Drive on the right, before the Primary School, Harcourt Drive and Springfield Mount on the left and The Acres on the right. Bark Lane joins from the right as does the final turning before the Parish Boundary - High Mill Lane which leads down to the oldest of the original five village mills - High Mill on the River Wharfe.

Addingham prepares for Britain in Bloom

The village is competing in the National Britain in Bloom competition this year and preparations, led by Addingham Garden Friends, are already underway.

We hope that all villagers and businesses will do your bit to help by:-

  • Making frontages and front gardens attractive and put out hanging baskets/planters visible from the street.
  • Keep pavements etc. swept and free from weeds.
  • Ensure that the village is free of litter & dog mess.
