Green Lane area

The Green Lane Estate was built as Council estate in the 1950s though most of the houses are now privately owned. Green Lane leaves School Lane soon after the junction with Chapel Street with Wharfedale View and Craven Crescent (sheltered accomodation) on the left and Burns Hill on the right. Craven Crescent is further along Green Lane on the left and it finishes at The Green (one of the originale centres of the village).

Addingham prepares for Britain in Bloom

The village is competing in the National Britain in Bloom competition this year and preparations, led by Addingham Garden Friends, are already underway.

We hope that all villagers and businesses will do your bit to help by:-

  • Making frontages and front gardens attractive and put out hanging baskets/planters visible from the street.
  • Keep pavements etc. swept and free from weeds.
  • Ensure that the village is free of litter & dog mess.
